(1) What causes abnormal noise and heavy vibration in the Pellet Machine, and what are the main factors to consider?

  1. Unstable raw material feeding; the feeding speed should be adjusted.

  2. Worn deflector scraper causing uneven feeding; the scraper should be replaced with a new one.

  3. Mixing old and new Pellet Machine Ring Dies and press rollers; it is best to pair a new Ring Die with new press rollers.

  4. The gap between the Ring Die and press rollers does not match the material being produced; adjust the press roller gap.

  5. Issues with the press rollers, such as using old and new rollers together or roller wear and damage.

  6. The formula being used is difficult to pelletize; appropriately adjust the formula.

  7. Insufficient steam supply or fluctuating pressure; check the steam pipeline, system pressure, and whether the pressure reducing valve is functioning normally.

  8. Foreign objects in the pelletizing chamber; remove foreign objects from the pelletizing chamber.

  9. Main shaft bearing worn or damaged; the bearing needs to be replaced.

(2) When lubricating the Pellet Machine, what are the operating procedures for the grease block and common faults, and how to resolve them?

   When lubricating the Pellet Machine, the air supply must be turned off first before moving the grease block.

First: When moving the grease block, it is easy to forget to turn off the air. If it cannot be moved at this point, do not force it; first turn off the air source, then move it.

Second: Sometimes after the air is turned off, it still cannot be moved. In this case, remove the hex socket bolt in the middle of the grease block, separate the grease block to reveal two O-rings in the middle, then properly reposition the O-rings and reassemble; it will then work.

Third: When the grease block is not aligned with the oil passage and high air pressure has locked it in place, simply remove the hex socket bolt in the middle of the grease block.

(3) What causes unstable current in the Pellet Machine?

    1. Improper adjustment of the press roller and Ring Die gap.

    2. Severely worn material distribution knife causing uneven material distribution.

    3. Semi-finished products or returned material containing excessively coarse powder particles (the classifying screen may be damaged).

    4. Uneven mixing of raw materials, liquid additives, and steam.

     5. Inconsistent tension of the drive belts.

(4) How to handle a Pellet Machine that fails to start?

    1. Check whether the power supply is properly connected.

    2. Check whether the safety pin is broken.

    3. Check whether the limit switch is in position.

    4. Check whether the Pellet Machine door is properly closed.

(5) How can the phenomenon of uneven pellet surfaces be improved?

  1. Properly control the particle size of the powdered feed so that all raw materials can be fully softened during conditioning.

   2. For raw materials with relatively high fiber content, they are prone to entrapping steam bubbles; therefore, do not add too much steam to such formulations.
