Development of Mechanized Charcoal in the Field of New Energy

For a long time, China's rapid economic development has been built upon an energy structure of high consumption, high emissions, and high pollution, which is an unsustainable development model. The ever-increasing energy crisis has become a bottleneck constraining economic and social development. With the gradual depletion of fossil fuels, actively developing and utilizing new alternative energy sources, optimizing the energy industry structure, and establishing a new system where various energy sources coexist has become an urgent priority. Biomass energy is the only renewable carbon source on Earth. It has special advantages in environmental protection and resource utilization, and is considered an important source of future energy and chemical fuels for humanity, with tremendous development potential. The research and development targets of Biomass energy generally refer to agricultural and forestry waste such as Rice Husk, Wood Chips, Peanut Shell, Straw, etc., as well as some energy plants, aquatic plants, and some industrial and domestic waste. These Biomass materials have significant characteristics such as large reserves, wide distribution, easy accessibility, renewability, and low cost. Through Biomass energy conversion technologies, various clean energy sources can be efficiently produced, replacing coal, petroleum, and Natural Gas, serving as an important approach to increasing supply and reducing consumption in the energy sector.

Biomass Energy utilization technologies mainly include direct combustion, liquefaction, gasification, solidification, etc. These technologies each have their own merits, but in practical operation, there are generally problems such as high production costs, significant application limitations, low utilization efficiency, and difficulty in large-scale promotion. With the increasing maturity of low-cost charcoal-making processes, Biomass charcoal may gradually become the main form of efficient Biomass energy utilization. However, because agricultural and forestry Biomass suitable for charcoal production is distributed across vast rural areas, with enormous quantities that are scattered, there are insurmountable difficulties in collection, storage, transportation, and processing. Therefore, up to now, the Biomass charcoal industry has remained in a stagnant state.

Considering China's national conditions, vigorously developing and applying carbonized Biomass coal made from agricultural and forestry waste Biomass will become our inevitable choice.
