>Mechanized charcoal is a resource-based product. Its main raw material is sawdust, mainly wood scraps. If local wood resources are relatively abundant and prices are reasonable, the raw material cost is generally controlled within 150 yuan per ton, making it feasible to establish a factory. The success of charcoal sales mainly depends on charcoal quality. High-quality mechanized charcoal is in short supply. If the charcoal quality is poor, sales will definitely be poor. Generally, the sales radius is within 300 kilometers.

2. How to identify the quality of mechanized charcoal:
>Mechanized charcoal generally has a raw material rod diameter of 50cm. After carbonization, it shrinks to 36-38cm. The charcoal cross-section has a metallic luster and feels relatively heavy. If it doesn't shrink after carbonization, leaving black ash on your hands with no luster, the quality is poor and the selling price is low.

3. Equipment and technology:
>If you have conducted an investigation, choosing equipment is a critical step. The principles and process flow of equipment are basically the same, but equipment manufacturing varies greatly. Taking dryers as an example: Raw materials should be dried before briquetting to reduce moisture content to between 12%-4%. This requires that the dryer's pipe length, pipe diameter, pipe insulation performance, fan air volume, air pressure, and flow velocity must be suitable for raw material drying requirements. A dryer should be able to dry raw materials with 35% moisture content in one pass. Some dryers cannot meet drying requirements due to unsuitable pipe length, air pressure, and air flow, requiring 3-4 passes to dry raw materials, which not only wastes manpower, materials, electricity, and fuel, greatly increasing carbon production costs, but also seriously affects the next process - briquetting. Many beginners cannot correctly solve the relationship between drying and briquetting. Currently, there are many manufacturers selling mechanized charcoal machine equipment, competing fiercely in price wars, which greatly affects product quality. Due to low product prices, some manufacturers cut corners, making product performance and quality unguaranteed. Therefore, investors are advised to be cautious, compare at least three suppliers, and remember that to sharpen one's work, one must first sharpen one's tools.

4. Carbonization technology
>Carbonization is a key link in mechanized charcoal production. Carbonization methods are diverse and can generally be divided into two categories: internal combustion method and dry distillation method. Both methods can be used, but the carbonization process requirements differ. The carbonization temperature should be 550°C-600°C. Early heating should be conducted slowly. Earth kilns should be 15 hours, and machine kilns 2-3 hours. Longer early heating time can prevent raw material rods from getting damp and cracking, ensuring carbonization quality.
>The quality of mechanized charcoal carbonization is closely related to raw material rods. Generally, the density of raw material rods should be greater than 1. A simple testing method is to take a section of formed raw material rod and place it in water. If it sinks, the specific gravity is greater than 1; if it floats, the specific gravity is less than 1. Higher specific gravity means higher density and better charcoal quality.
>After charcoal comes out of the kiln, ventilate first before removing charcoal to prevent carbon dioxide poisoning. Charcoal removed from the kiln should be placed outside for more than 8 hours to prevent dead embers from reigniting and causing fires.
